DEFRAProfile Project The project entailed us researching over 100 divisions within Defra. The aim of the research was to establish the roles and responsibilities of each division and to identify suitable photographic images that would represent the work of each. The telephone was the primary tool for gathering this information together with face-to-face meetings. The next phase of the project involved researching different locations and projects, organising props and models and arranging for Take One’s photographers to take the photographs. This often involved very complex logistics throughout the United Kingdom. Once the photographs had been taken, the best images were selected, captions, keywords, location and a brief description were then added to each image. This was to enable each member of the Defra team to quickly and efficiently search for, and locate the images in the on-line digital library. The final phase of the project involved uploading each image and its metadata into the relevant category in the library. Authorised users were given access to the library with a username and password enabling them to search for images by category or keywords. Defra Feedback |
